Anmerkungen:
Diese Art wurde von Tom Croat und John Gaskin einmal in Kolumbien am 1. July 1997 in einer Höhenlage von 1350m gefunden.
Durch die großen, schön gefärbten Blätter mit ihrem samtartigen Belag sind sie ein echter Hingucker. Die jungen Blätter sind schwarz durchgefärbt, und bilden einen attraktiven Kontrast zu den ausgereiftem Blatt.
Mit zunehmenden Alter der Pflanze werden die Blätter immer farbintensiver und kontrastreicher, auch nimmt die Anzahl der immer deutlicher abgesetzten Adern zu.
