The Brat from MidNite Solar is simply the most versatile solar controller in its class. The MidNite Brat load controller is a finely-tuned solar PWM charger capable of providing up to 30 Amps of charging current, with class-leading lighting and load control features including one-of-a-kind Solar Clock.

Rain-proof out of the box, and supporting dead-battery charging and low-voltage load disconnect, The Brat MidNite charge controller is perfect for outdoor, marine, RV, and unattended remote applications.

The Brat MidNite charge controller is rich with features, including temperature-compensated charging, manual and 30-day automatic equalize, great lighting control options (including dawn to dusk, which is rare), and at an affordable price too!

- Selectable Charging Modes: 20 A charger with 10 A load control / 30 A charger without load control
- No relays, Fans, or external Heat-sinc
- LED Indications: Four LED's for Bulk, Float, Load On and Low Battery. Patterned blinking LED's provide feedback about fault conditions.
- 10 A Load Circuit: A unique feature of the Brat is the load circuit. This versatile feature can be used for many purposes including running well pumps, electric fences, or lights.
- Customizable Lighting Controller: The Brat sports a highly customizable 16 position rotary switch lighting controller. (See manual linked below for full list of options, PG 10)

Great...but could be a bit better

Almost perfect. Easy to screw apart and insert wires to both the back and to the front, or do what I did and screw the wire onto the back and then use a banana plug for the front. My only complaints are that the back piece sits off the wall a little, so the plate doesn't fit flat and tight against the wall. It leave a little gap around the edges. The other complaint is that the back piece has some flex in it, which makes me nervous when I push plugs into and out of it. I think it probably will hold up fine, but it feels a little oogy to push banana plugs into it and see it flex. Comes with all the hardware needed. Just need a philips screwdriver and wire cutters and you're good to go. Super easy to use, and way better than the spring loaded connections it replaced.
