Zindaclin is an antibiotic gel used to treat acne. You apply it once daily to the areas of your skin affected by acne. It helps by preventing the bacteria on your skin from multiplying, which reduces and prevents spots from forming.
Acne usually appears during adolescence and early adulthood, but it can occur at any age. It's often triggered by various factors that cause your skin to produce more sebum. When there's an excess of sebum, the bacteria on your skin feed on it and release waste products that block your pores, resulting in spots.
How does Zindaclin work?
Zindaclin is an antibiotic, meaning it targets bacteria directly. Acne is often due to an excess of bacteria on your skin, which produces waste that inflames and blocks your sebaceous glands.
Without this bacteria flourishing and clogging your pores, your sebaceous glands are less prone to inflammation and blockage, which means spots are less likely to develop. However, since this process takes time, it may be a while before you see the effects of this treatment.
What doses of Zindaclin are there?
Zindaclin comes in just one strength, but your clinician may suggest using the cream more often if your symptoms need it. If you don't see any improvement after eight weeks of using Zindaclin, please inform our clinician, as you might need to consider a different treatment.
How long does it take Zindaclin to work?
Many people begin to see a change after using it for a couple of weeks. However, it generally takes at least eight weeks to achieve its full effect, so don't be concerned if you haven't noticed much improvement after just a few weeks.
What should I do if I make a mistake when using Zindaclin?
If Zindaclin accidentally gets into your eyes, mouth, or nose, rinse it out well with water. If you happen to use more Zindaclin than recommended, just wash your skin with water. If you're concerned, feel free to contact a clinician.
If you forget to apply Zindaclin, just use it as soon as you remember. However, don't apply twice the amount to make up for the missed dose.
