Does this vest stop bullets?
No. The Stealth Guard is certified to NIJ 0115.0 for stab and spike protection only — it is not rated for ballistic threats. If you need protection against both knives and firearms, you need dual-threat armour certified to both NIJ 0115.0 (stab) and NIJ 0101.06 (ballistic). How long does the armour last?
NIJ certification is based on accelerated ageing tests that simulate 5 years of wear under normal conditions. We recommend replacing the panel after 5 years or immediately after any incident where it has stopped a blade — the panel may have sustained damage that is not visible on inspection but that compromises its protective capacity.
