Over 11 expertly crafted pop songs, produced once again by MJ from Hookworms, Martha returns with their second album, Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart, which explores the difficulties in staying political, passionate and punk. Hailing from the small town of Pity Me, UK, Martha plays energetic, impassioned power pop with intricate vocals and lush four-part harmonies, informed by '90s indie rock and contemporary garage punk. The band is J. Cairns (guitar), Daniel Ellis (guitar; Onsind), Naomi Griffin (bass; No Ditching), and Nathan Stephens Griffin (drums; Onsind). Their debut album Courting Strong came out in 2014 and was included in NPR's top 50 albums of that year, winning them the epithet, "One of Britain's best rock bands." If the band's first album was about punks growing up, then Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart is about grown-ups staying punk, trying to stay creative and passionate, and making the most of everything in spite of the many obstacles that get in the way. It finds strength and solace in friendships, love, and motivation from the people in your life who really inspire you.

Perfect Quality.
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
Cloth bound cover with printed foil design on the front cover. The lettering color ; as well as the picture illustrations, are entirely printed in blue ink. There is a removable price sticker on the back of the book, which it is hard to remove without it leaving glue residue behind, therefore I myself left it as it was. The sprayed edges are also of blue metallic color. Very nice quality book I recommend buying it. My copy of the book had only a very tiny indentation on the edge of the top front cover but hardly anything to make a fuss about.

Beautiful physical book / perception altering offerings

I encountered this book when I was 9 years old and it completely changed the way I lived my life and viewed others. No more woe is me, nor life isnʻt fair. Instead I realized my actions and perceptions are in my control. Truly mind altering.
Annually I have a selection of books and other writings, including The Prophet, that I read again. The Prophet is always fresh and I come away with new eyes and attitude.
The hardcover book is beautiful with the book pages kissed with a serene blue that is reflected on the cover and the text within. Just looking at the book makes me feel calm and ready for the words of love, acceptance, and the freedom to be.
I purchased this book for myself to replace the tattered paperback I was given as a child. After reading and rereading over the past couple of days I am going to purchase a few more books to gift to people I love.

Beautiful Book
Format: Hardcover
Book is nicer than expected. I highly recommend this book for personal collection or for a gift. The edges are blue gilded and the cover is lovely. It has a nice index which was not available in another "The Prophet" book I previously ordered. "The Prophet" is one of my favorite books.
