Atomic Hawx Prime 90 Ski Boots

The Atomic Hawx Prime 90 is a men’s all-mountain ski boot built for beginner to intermediate skiers who want a comfortable medium-volume fit, a forgiving flex, and dependable support for confident resort progression.

Why It Works

  • 100mm Medium-Volume Fit: The Prime fit is designed for average-width feet, giving many skiers a secure, balanced feel without the cramped sensation of a narrow performance boot.
  • Forgiving 90 Flex: The softer flex pattern makes the boot easier to bend and control, which helps progressing skiers stay comfortable while building technique and confidence.
  • Prolite Construction: Atomic reinforces key areas of the shell to improve support and stability while keeping weight down for a less fatiguing feel on snow.
  • Mimic Bronze Liner: The heat-moldable liner improves comfort and heel hold, while the Adaptive Fit System cuff and 3D Stretch Toe Box help create a more accommodating fit.

Perfect Match

This boot is a strong fit for beginner to intermediate men skiers who spend most of their time on groomers and general resort terrain. It especially suits skiers with average-width feet who want a smoother-flexing boot that feels supportive without becoming demanding or harsh.

The Details

  • Fit: 100mm last for medium-width feet.
  • Flex: 90.
  • Liner: Mimic Bronze liner, fully heat moldable, with Adaptive Fit System cuff and 3D Stretch Toe Box.
  • Shell and Cuff: Polypropylene shell with polyurethane cuff, Prolite construction, Energy Link, Energy Backbone, and Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment.
  • Closure: 4 aluminum buckles with a 35mm Velcro strap.
  • Soles: GripWalk ISO 23223 grip pads.
  • Weight: Approximately 1769 g per boot at size 26.5.

How It Compares

Compared with stiffer Hawx Prime models, the Hawx Prime 90 is easier to flex and more approachable for newer or lighter skiers. It keeps the proven Hawx Prime fit platform and useful customization features, but packages them in a softer, more comfort-focused build.

Bottom Line: The Atomic Hawx Prime 90 is a medium-volume men’s ski boot for beginner to intermediate skiers who want a comfortable fit, forgiving flex, and a progression-friendly feel for all-mountain resort skiing.

Choose the Hawx Prime 90 if you want a current-season Atomic boot that balances comfort, support, and easy control for full days on the mountain.

Important reading for every working woman!
Format: Hardcover
Let me start by saying that this isn't a genre I am normally drawn to. I usually am a fiction reader, but a trusted friend recommended this book so highly that I felt I should give it a chance. I'm so glad I put aside my hesitation, as I really feel this is a book that every woman in the American workforce should read. It is a fascinating primer in how we got where we are, and how much effort it took to gain even our somewhat compromised equality. While the legal issues involved can be a little complex, Thomas does an excellent job of breaking them down into straightforward concepts. I also really appreciated her ability to make the whole process of moving a case up through the Court of Appeals and eventually to the Supreme Court come to life. For those of us who are not in the legal profession, this process can seem mysterious, but this book made it easy to understand. By clearly and patiently laying out the facts of each case, Thomas also gives the reader the opportunity to test their own assumptions and think through the logic of the cases for themselves. For me, it was a fascinating opportunity to weigh my assumptions about my political leanings against my intellectual analysis of the facts, and I often surprised myself. All in all, I think this is an important book, and also a surprisingly accessible and engaging one. You will feel smarter and much more informed after reading it. And if you are a woman, you may well also feel grateful for those brave women (and men) who fought and struggled to make your experience in the workplace fairer.

Like a real-life legal thriller. Especially if you're thrilled by the progress we've made.
Format: Hardcover
This book, while deeply researched and rigorous, is the opposite of legalese. Thomas's vivid, thoughtful, witty storytelling reveals the real (and courageous) people behind the cases that made employment discrimination law what it is today. It shows not just the impact of law on people, but the impact of people on law. These women's struggles (and those of the advocates at their side) are both infuriating and inspiring. (That was me on the subway yelling at the book, alternating between "WHAT THE HELL?!" and "YOU GO, IDA!") Read it on the train, read it on the beach; just read it. I have a zillion friends with spring birthdays, not to mention my mom (who came of working age during this gender-siloed Mad-Men-tastic era) and I'm buying it for every single one.

A serious read about a very relevant, non-fiction topic... not a light hearted read.
Format: Kindle
A serious non-fiction, not a leisurely novel... very detailed, lots of research went into this, and a lot to be learned from reading thru it.. an excellent education of all that leads up to our Supreme Court,... and serious relevance to the 60’s, 70’s, up to now.... for many women.

Entertaining read
Format: Kindle
I wanted to educate myself on some of the issues that are presented in this book. If you're looking for just factual case-law and supreme court decisions this is not the book you're looking for. This book presents the cases in a story and gives a lot of detail about what went on in the lives of the people involved in these lawsuits outside of the courtroom. The only thing that I wish would have been talked about in greater detail would be a more in-depth look at the opinions and reasons from the justices that were not voting in favor of the plaintiffs.
