The Authentic Hendrix '68 Shrine Series Band of Gypsys Fuzz is based on the mysterious red, white-knobbed Fuzz Face Jimi Hendrix used during several 1969–1970 shows. The original stompbox sounded completely different than the legendary guitarist's other fuzzes, exhibiting an aggressive snarl with lots of bite. Dunlop's engineers narrowed the sound of this mysterious Fuzz Face to a modified Octavio circuit without the pedal's octave-up effect.
