ABOUT THE LEATHER

The Novonappa leather hails from the Haas tannery in France. Owing to its high-end nature, you’ll find this same leather in many designer brands products.

The texture has a signature smooth grain finish that Haas is famous for. It’s also one of the best leathers in scratch recovery out there- again, think of designer leather bags.

It retains its original color well over time because of its excellent water resistance. But it’s not to say the color will stay boring all throughout its life – far from it!

OUR DESIGN

Our design is inspired from straps made during watch revolution in the 1950s. Important features include micro stitching, thinness, tapered look, and use of calfskin & antique leathers. These straps shall perfectly complement your vintage as well as contemporary timepieces.

Parts were oily, so you must use gloves or wipe them down. I bought the boards from Lowes, size for the boards were 28" x 40" and 9" x 40", and 3/4" thick. I had to buy 5/8" screws to screw the boards down. Overall, once it was all put together, the desk is very sturdy, simple and gave me options how to set up my computers.

      1" fittings and decent quality

      Difficult to tell from any description but these are 1" pipes and fittings. You can find this out if you look at product pictures and can see the 1 printed on a fitting or two that is it. I was trying to match existing pipes that were 3/4 inch so disappointed when they arrived. these are decorative as well. Not the same quality as actual black iron pipe you get at any home improvement store. Good enough for shelving and legs on furniture but I definitely would not stand on these or make a chair or stool that is meant to hold someone's weight. Fit and finish about what you would expect cheap and the flanges are threaded crooked like others have stated. Also when they state the sizes and lengths they do not take into account the fittings so everything will be longer slightly.
