Streamline your labeling workflow with Wasp 2.0" x 1.0" Direct Thermal Labels. This four-roll set delivers a high-volume solution designed for fast-paced environments like warehouses, fulfillment centers, and retail operations. Direct thermal printing means you don’t need costly ribbons or ink cartridges—images, text, and barcodes are produced simply by applying heat to the specially coated label surface. The result is a cost-effective, efficient labeling option that helps you move more packages, manage inventory, and keep shelves and shipments accurately identified. These labels are white, uniform, and optimized for readability, making them ideal for shipping labels, product identifiers, price tags, and inventory control throughout the supply chain. With 2300 labels per roll, you’ll have plenty of labeling capacity to support everyday operations without constant restocking. And with a total of 9,200 labels across four rolls, you can count on reliable, consistent performance across a wide range of printing tasks.

  • Ribbon-free, cost-saving printing: Direct thermal labels eliminate the need for printer ribbons or ink, reducing consumable costs and minimizing maintenance. This means lower total cost of ownership and fewer supply decisions to manage on a busy shipping floor. The printing process stays simple and streamlined, so your team can focus on getting orders out the door faster. The result is a cleaner, more efficient warehouse workflow with fewer supply-chain interruptions caused by ribbon shortages or messy ink cartridges.
  • High-volume durability with generous roll capacity: Each roll holds 2300 labels, and the set includes four rolls, delivering a total of 9,200 labels. This generous capacity is designed to support high-output labeling tasks without frequent roll changes. The wider outer diameter of 5 inches accommodates long print runs in many popular direct thermal printers, reducing downtime and improving productivity in fulfillment and retail environments.
  • Perfect sizing for common shipping and product labels: The 2.0" x 1.0" label size is a widely used standard for shipping, product identification, price tagging, and SKU labeling. This compact yet highly legible format allows for clear text, bold barcodes, and compact product information without crowding. Whether you're printing short shipping labels or item IDs, these labels strike the right balance between visibility and space efficiency, helping ensure scannable barcodes and legible text every time.
  • Reliability and print quality for fast fulfillment: Direct thermal printing delivers crisp, high-contrast marks that scan reliably on most barcode readers. The process is straightforward and repeatable, delivering consistent results across all four rolls. This consistency is essential for batch printing tasks, reducing the need for reprints and minimizing delays in order processing. Because the labels respond well to standard direct thermal printers, you can rely on predictable performance across shifts and printer units.
  • Storage, durability, and long-term value: While direct thermal labels are highly cost-effective, they should be stored away from excessive heat, humidity, and direct sunlight to preserve print quality over time. Keeping rolls sealed and stored in a cool, dry environment helps preserve adhesion and print clarity, ensuring that labels remain scannable and legible from shelf to shipping dock. The four-roll bundle provides reliable supply for ongoing labeling needs, supporting consistent branding and accurate product identification across your entire operation.

How to install Wasp 2.0" x 1.0" Direct Thermal Labels

  • Verify that your direct thermal printer supports label size 2.0" x 1.0" and a 5" outer roll diameter. Check printer specifications and install the latest firmware if needed.
  • Power off the printer and open the label compartment. Remove any old rolls or debris to ensure smooth feeding.
  • Mount the four rolls of Wasp labels in their standard feed direction, ensuring the labels feed from the roll with the adhesive face toward the backing. Align the rolls so they roll freely without rubbing against each other.
  • Feed the label strip into the printer’s media path, aligning with the sensor marks as directed by your printer model. Close the cover securely and power the device back on.
  • Calibrate the printer to the new label size using the printer’s calibration routine. Load a test page, verify that the text and barcodes print clearly, and adjust print darkness or speed if necessary for optimal readability and scanning reliability.
  • Begin printing your labels. For large batches, consider using a software template that standardizes font size, barcode type, and layout to ensure consistency across prints.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is direct thermal printing? Direct thermal printing uses heat-sensitive label surfaces to transfer images, text, and barcodes directly onto the label without ribbons or ink. This method is popular for shipping and product labeling due to its simplicity and lower ongoing costs. The print results are typically durable for indoor use and in controlled environments, and you can expect crisp text and scannable barcodes when printing under appropriate conditions.
  • Do I need a printer ribbon with these labels? No. Direct thermal labels are designed to print without ribbons. This reduces material costs and maintenance while simplifying the labeling workflow. It also minimizes the risk of ribbon-related print quality issues, making these labels a reliable choice for high-volume labeling tasks.
  • Are these labels suitable for long-term storage or outdoor use? Direct thermal labels perform well for many indoor applications, but direct exposure to heat, sunlight, or humidity over extended periods can fade print and reduce legibility. For long-term storage or outdoor exposure, consider protective labeling practices or alternative label types designed for durability in harsh conditions.
  • How many total labels are in the package? The package includes four rolls, each with 2300 labels, for a total of 9,200 labels. This large quantity supports sustained labeling operations with fewer interruptions and roll changes, which is especially beneficial in busy fulfillment centers or high-volume retail environments.
  • What applications are best suited for these labels? These labels are well-suited for shipping documentation, SKU tagging, product labeling, price tagging, and inventory management. Their compact size makes them versatile for trunking workflows, handoffs, and labeling at the point of sale, ensuring fast, clear identification across products and shipments.

Well Made Toy But My Standard Poodle Chewed Through it Anyway!
We have a standard poodle puppy that chews EVERYTHING! There isn't anything that she can't chew through - leashes, harnesses, toys - you name it and she tears it apart and if it's a toy, de-squeaks it and tears all the stuffing out. She has very powerful jaws! Now I have a couple of other Outward Hound toys that are made only of firehose material and those are still intact. But she loves the feel of the plush toys so I thought this seemed very durable and the inner part was of their Dura-Tuff liner, so I was hoping this would be a win win situation! The toy came and it IS well made and the outside plush is soft and inviting for the dog. Squeakers in every segment is a huge bonus with my dog as she loves squeakers. And no stuffing. Those nice qualities aside, after several weeks, she did manage to rip it apart, shred the material and de-squeak it! For an average dog or puppy, this might have worked wonderfully and lasted the entire lifetime. I still think its a quality made toy, but it just didn't last for my girl!! The joy my dog gets from these toys is priceless!
I have a 5 year old Rottweiler, Poppy, who will absolutely annihilate any toy within minutes. I’ve had them all… same outcome. Stuffing all over within seconds and the enjoyment is short lived. I love these toys. There are several squeakers in them so once she gets ones out, she still loves the toy because she can find another squeaker. Also, because it’s long (yet substantially sized) she LOVES throwing them around and whipping them back and forth - something she does even after all the squeakers are gone. That alone makes this toy worth it. She typically no longer plays with toys once the squeaker or stuffing are removed but she will continue to whip these snake toys around and they’re durable. I don’t have to worry about her eating small pieces of cloth that is ripping off the toy. Having said all of that…. I’ve ordered her a few over the last several months and found that these toys are her favorite above all else. I’ve also found them to be a good value for me. But… if I could give these toys 25 stars, I would. My Poppy girl was recently diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma and will have about 6 more precious weeks with us, if we’re lucky. So, I ordered her two more. Because, she can have all the toys, right? And the pure amount of joy that lights up her beautiful face every-time she gets a new snake is priceless. I will absolutely continue to order them to make her remaining weeks as delightful as possible. I will be forever grateful for the happiness these specific snake toys bring my baby girl and could not recommend them enough.

Not so great for aggressive chewers!!
EDIT: well it’s been two days. My boy (American Staffordshire Terrier) has broken one of the squeakers and has made a Hole. Even tho he LOVES this toy and has been carrying it around the house it’s not for aggressive chewers. It’s pretty tough.. tougher than most but not Black Kong Tough. (Wykyk)

My little buddy loves it! (Loves it no more)
I ordered this in advance of the arrival of my 11 wk old Corgi pup. Not knowing what kind of a chewer I was getting, I wanted something that squeaked but did not have too many extremities to rip and tear at. I also didn't want too much stuffing to end up all over my house and in my buddy's tummy. It is soft and well constructed. I like that the snake is compartmentalized so that if one segment is breached, the others are not. As it turned out, at this time, my pup is not a violent ripper (except for with paper and cardboard). After a week of testing, it is his favorite toy. It took him about two days to figure out how to squeak it and boy does he love it. It is the only toy he will haul around, which is hilarious because its bigger than he is. It is also the only toy that he will play fetch with. I'm also working on "leave it" with the with him. Nemo chews a lot, but hasn't shown much interest in ripping at his toys, so after a week (if it were washed) it could probably pass as new. I also try to switch him over to a bone or rubber toy when he starts getting really excited. I am weary since my last dog was a lab who would shred her toys in seconds. Nemo was ripping at the tag (something about paper) so I cut that off to prevent a seem getting opened up. I'm surprised that the tongue is still intact. The tongue and eyes are weak links and Nemo does like to chew on them. Overall, I'm very pleased with this toy. My husband was skeptical and thought it a bit ridiculous, but even he has decided it was a good buy. *Update* Our original snake lasted 7 months. Nemo loved it. He would carry it around with him and squeak it till my husband and I went insane. He had mastered the rapid fire squeak. It was also the only toy he would reliably fetch. After 7 months my pup had punctured two of the squeakers and the fur was getting threadbare in some place. But overall we were very happy with the product. Last week we had a guest GSP at our home and he demolished the toy within minutes. Shredded all of the squeakers and the casing. So we were forced to get Nemo a new one. Unfortunately they have since changed the design. There is now a piping that goes all the way around the snake (before it was blind stitched). Nemo has a thing about tags and edges, he works slowly and methodically to nibble them off. Once the piping was compromised, Nemo had easy access to the squeakers. This new version of the toy lasted only a few hours. I am extremely disappointed with the changes made. I have reduced my 5 star review to 1 star and will no longer recommend this product.
