Oh yeah, 1980s in the UK, this is the ragged beauty and no holds barred power of punk...without punk, woulda these kids even been inspired enough to vent their pissed off punch into a band?...and if they had, woulda some record executive been amazed and pushed them into making a platter that I have to believe these kids woulda pushed back enough to make it good enough, but with punk, now it is the record they wanted to create, forged from fierce and tensile strength a trillion times better than some record exec. woulda tried to push them to create...and the ball peen splits flesh down to bone...ripples spread like sweat from spiked hair...she sings when she wanna sings and talks when she wants to do that, and instead of running out of petrol, they hammer down, burning rubber on tarred asphalt, pounding punches on American politics, just ripping into "More Lives Wasted" like sawing the scalp from a politician's skull, ripping the roof from an oval office, so good from go to whoa, that spoken endcap hitting your blood pump like a chest popper, words of wisdom, words of warning ringing like a wailing winnie, tattered patches and combat boots, torched flags ripped down to the ground through oil-stained skies, ragged focus stomping on your skull. -- winch

SEPTEMBER 2025: first ever reissue of 1989 album from influential UK Anarcho Punk band Potential Threat. Originally only released in Germany and never repressed.  They had everything, the music, the lyrics, the records on Mortarhate, the looks and a phenomenal female singer. Dark, catchy and haunting politically charged metallic Anarcho punk, loaded with thought provoking lyrics and some of the best vocals ever. The production is thick, powerful and warm like anger burning, the drums pummeling and energetic, the guitar riffs always relevant with a fantastic crunchy punk sound. The band existed from 1981 to 1988 recording two Eps, two LPs and were featured on many of the outstanding essential comps of the day (The Other War, Blood Money, Miserable Bastards, This is the A.L.F.)
