NAPLES, 1847.
A battlefield for the soul.
Divided in loyalty and trust, the Loewy family grapples with themselves. Wings of political unrest sweep across Europe, pushing each one to choose.
Change: To fight it or embrace it?
Pain: To confront it or ignore it?
Truth: To disregard it or die by it?

CLARA — The emptiness of her loss leaves her aching for comfort. Forced to confront her pain in a way she can’t refuse, she loses her apathy, but what engulfs her instead is something new and frightening…

ROSETTA — With the life of her dreams finally in reach, it seems nothing can ever go wrong again. When threat crops up from an unexpected corner, she must face the wrenching truth of her soul…

JUDAH — After searching all his life for family, he’s finally found it. When he stumbles across his heritage, it seems all is put in jeopardy once again. The choice between security, safety, and truth is one that tears life as he knows it to pieces…

In the hazy shadow of the Enlightenment, this city nestled between Mt. Vesuvius and the Mediterranean Sea witnesses their struggle. Truth and falsehood. Darkness and light. Love and despair.

Search the Light weaves through a family forced to face each other and themselves. Originally serialized in the Binah as Shades of Light, this story gives a window into the hearts of those forced up against their truest selves, and the light that comes shining forth from that sacred place.

Not a Users Guide
Format: Paperback
Although many readers may find this book useful, it describes a particular approach to Powerpoint. It is not anything like a comprehensive users guide.

Just linear
Format: Paperback
I appreciate that it helps to organize the chaos of information, but I just used the template verbatim with my manager and it did not go very well. He said this linear approach does not work anymore with high-level corporate audiences. They want to cut right to the chase and start to dig into the deep details. This layout with simple images, even if you just pull away the map and anchor slides, makes the storytelling too much like a story, not giving enough credit to the speed at which certain audiences can and do process data on a slide. It was an interesting exercise and I still think this linear layout works in some cases. Just not if you are trying to communicate business case or other C-suite type of information.

Good reference text
Format: Paperback
Great introduction for anyone new to the P&C industry. Good reference as well for the more well-seasoned readers.

Student Review
This book is an excellent introduction to the basic principles of insurance. We used this text as a supplement in our Intro to Act. Sci. class. It is very readable, easy to understand. Minimal mathematics required, some basic calculus concepts used, but only briefly. Don't let it's small size fool ya, it has plenty of information in there.
