how to install Eaton Tripp Lite Series 48-Port Console Server

To deploy this console server effectively, begin with a plan that aligns with your facility’s space, power, and network architecture. The following steps outline a typical deployment to ensure a smooth setup and reliable operation:

  • Step 1: Physical installation — select a stable location on a desk or mount the unit in a 1U rack using the provided mounting hardware. Ensure adequate ventilation and convenient access to serial cables and network connections.
  • Step 2: Network planning — connect the Dual Gigabit Ethernet NICs to your management networks. Decide whether you will use a single management network, separate networks for management and data, or redundant paths. Assign IP addresses via DHCP or static configuration per your standard IT practices.
  • Step 3: Device onboarding — connect each serial device or network device you intend to manage. Organize devices into logical groups or profiles to simplify access, scripting, and monitoring across your environment.
  • Step 4: Security hardening — establish administrator accounts with strong credentials, configure role-based access policies, enable session encryption, and set up auditing or syslog integration to capture actions for compliance and troubleshooting.
  • Step 5: Firmware and maintenance — verify connectivity to your management systems, update to the latest firmware release, configure backup of configurations and logs, and set up routine alerts so you are notified of device health or access anomalies.
  • Step 6: Validation — perform a hands-on check by initiating remote console sessions to a subset of devices, validating response times, session stability, and the accuracy of device grouping. Document procedures for common tasks to accelerate future operations.

Worked great at a budget price. I used it to damp a fiberglass loudspeaker horn. Easy to work with too.

Good material but bites back

Very good product for my rear trunk and backseat on my mustang. I would recommend some type of gloves due to the foil itself when placing down will cut up your hands and fingers. Overall good product for its price.

Excellent product high quality.

This stuff definitely suprised how easy it was to work with. Not to mention it sticks very well. Don't put it on anything you may need to get back into. It will take the paint off of a service area. I have a 2018 dodge durango. I just had a aftermarket audio sytem installed. It was rattling so bad it was driving me crazy. I seen this stuff and decided to give it a try. Its a night and day difference no moore rattling. I box will be enough to do my back gate and all front and rear doors also. For the price you honestly can not beat it. If your on the fence about trying it don't be. You definitely won't regret getting it. Its worth every penny. You don't realize how much something rattling in your vehicle robs you of spund quality. Glad I made the decision. Now off to the other 4 doors. ,and then the roof. One of the things I really like was the fact it has multiple line to help you make even better cuts. Definitely will buy a gen.

Affordable, Clean and does the job.
Size: 36 sqft, Size: 36 sqft
I consumed about 90% of this box doing all doors and the tailgate on a 2000 tahoe. I applied it very liberally inside every door (exteror) panel. We then added an almost equal amount of deadening/absorbing/decoupling foam to the other side of the door (panel side). If you know how many rattles a circa 2000 tahoe GMT800 can have by now, you can appreciate why I added this as a "must" if i were to put some money back into this vehicle. Best sub $150 spent on this mini resto so far, right next to tint. Good quality. Not to thick or thin. Good sized sheets. Seamed to deaden as good as another slightly thicker material i recently used in my F250. My box was delivered with no issues of melting or anything funky. Clean, no major smell before or after and easy to work with. Maybe buy a roller set and wear gloves. Save your hands if your doing inside of panels. Good buy. Will buy more for future projects.
