Description

Chill Ice 1Clear casting epoxy CHILL ICE 1 is a 100% reactive crystal clear epoxy system with very low viscosity and high ultraviolet resistance. The CHILL ICE 1 makes it possible to cast small and medium size projects like coffee tables or river tables up to 1. 5 thick up to 60L, in a single casting, while maintaining its transparency and high precision. CHILL ICE 1 offers an excellent bubbles release and very low odor. It can be colored with one of our CHILL

Clear casting epoxy CHILL ICE 1™ is a 100% reactive crystal clear epoxy system with very low viscosity and high ultraviolet resistance. The CHILL ICE 1™ makes it possible to cast small and medium-size projects like coffee tables or river tables up to 1.5″ thick up to 60L, in a single casting, while maintaining its transparency and high precision. CHILL ICE 1™ offers an excellent bubbles release and very low odor. It can be colored with one of our CHILL DROPS liquid pigments – Transparent or Opaque.

CHILL ICE 1™ is a Slow Setting UV-Resistant Clear Casting Epoxy system, 100% reactive with very low viscosity. The CHILL ICE 1™ makes it possible to cast river tables up to 1.5” thick, in a single pour, while maintaining its transparency and high precision. CHILL ICE 1™ will best perform between 0.5 up to 1.5″ thick. Under 0.5″ it will take longer to fully cure. CHILL ICE 1™ is perfect for bubble-free casting after less than 5 to 10 minutes without the use of a torch, which can cause an exothermic imbalance in the casting. Its long pot life makes it possible to mix several liters at a time and to pour a large quantity of resin during the production of the river table. This system also meets the European RoHS standard.

Features:

  • Ideal for projects between 0.5 to 1.5” thick, in a single pour without the need to use a fan.
  • It is commonly used for the casting of river tables, coffee tables, or medium-size projects using molds.
  • Very durable
  • Water like viscosity to avoid bubbles
  • Can be colored with one of our CHILL DROPS or metallic pigments.
  • Very strong mechanical strength and stress resistance
  • High-Gloss
  • Self-Leveling
  • Heat and Impact Resistance
  • Slow setting time
  • Low odor

Characteristics:

Wonderful and short introduction to plate tectonics for those with little background in Earth science or mathematics
Format: Paperback
Molnar does an excellent job explaining key elements of plate tectonics. His book is understandable even for those with little background in geology or geophysics. Molnar, an expert on mountain building, nicely explains how collisions of plates with continents atop cause mountain belts to form. He also questions the limitations of plate tectonics in explaining formation of such mountains. Understanding Molnar's very short book requires little mathematics. An ideal text for college science courses for non-science majors, and for those who want to understand the evolution of Earth's geological features and phenomena.

Easy to read
Format: Paperback
The book was an easy to read discussion of plate tectonics. The technical terms were easily understood and presented in an interest manner. Technically sound and entertaining is a winning combination for a science book! I wold recommend this book to anyone interested in the topic but is not a scientist in the field.

Very short and very good
Format: eTextbook
I read this book or one similar to it my senior year in high school 1970. It absolutely caught my attention as a way to explain why the continents had separated from Gondwanaland. I really liked revisiting the theory in light of the advances made since then

I love VSI on Kindle
Format: eTextbook
The thing is they take a long time to read because of the look up feature. It's like reading a book in the Library of Congress.

There are few who are capable of telling the story ...
Format: Paperback
There are few who are capable of telling the story of plate techtonics including critical details. Peter Molnar is one of those chosen few who can deliver such a story succinctly and precisely.
