Zack Thurman started tying and fishing flies at a very young age. For nearly half of his life his passion for fly tying and fly fishing has led him to create his own patterns for both moving and still water. While finishing high school and attending college, Zack was able to master his skill of tying flies during the many hours of commercial tying for a local fly shop. All this practice eventually paid off as he is now a signature tier for the Montana Fly Company.

Besides loving to sit at the vice, Zack has spent countless hours testing these flies in his home waters of Northern California and Southern Oregon. These flies not only have a suggestive appearance to them, but have been very effective for Zack and he shows you how to tie the following flies:

Not Quite So Durable...

Maybe I have a SUPER aggressive chewer...he went through this ball in under a week. I originally bought the ball because of a review that stated the owner's Pitbull had the same ball for two years; not so much for my Rottweiler. He started chewing off and swallowing small crumbs from the ball within a day or two. By the end of the week, it was chunks so I had to toss it in the trash to prevent an intestinal obstruction. On the up side, my Rottweiler LOVED the ball while it lasted. However, I can't, in good conscience, give this ball a rave review based on this experience. Please take this review with a grain of salt as I have yet to find ANY toy that my boy won't DESTROY in a week or two. I hope that someone finds this informative when searching for chew toys for SUPER aggressive chewers like mine.

If you are looking for a ball that can stand up next to a heavy, aggressive chewer.. this is a good choice. Our Pitbull literally destroyed any and every toy that she gets with the exception of one kind of kong ball. I'd like to believe that the Kong ball she has and this ball are made of the same material. Because they are the only balls she can't ruin. And it's not because of a lack of trying. We have watched her sit there and chew with a side of her mouth for an hour or more, trying to make some kind of indention or tear in it and it just never happened. She loves to chew this thing, chase this thing, sleep with this thing. I most certainly recommend this ball. If it is I'ah proof then it is most certainly, 100% a durable ball and worth every penny
