FOS is eenvoudig te gebruiken. Het is een zoet oplosbaar poeder wat makkelijk oplost in hete dranken of over het eten kan worden gestrooid.

Fructo-oligosacchariden (FOS) gewonnen uit de cichorei.

Gebruik
Dagelijkse aanbevolen hoeveelheid varieert en is afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid vezels in uw dieet. 

(i) Voor specieke Start Onderhoud behoeften dosering dosering Volwassenenen: 5g 10g Kinderen vanaf 4 jaar: 2 5g 5g
(ii) Algemeen Start Normale Maximale onderhoud dosering dosering dosering (eerste 3 dagen) (per dag) (per dag)

Een afgestreken dessertlepel = 5 gram.

* Als de aanbevolen dosering leidt tot buitensporige flatulentie vermindert u dan de dosering en bouw langzaam weer op. Flatulentie is een positief signaal en betekent dat de FOS als voeding gebruikt wordt door de ‘vriendelijke’ bacteriën in de darm. De Flatulentie zal normaliter na enkele dagen verdwijnen. Voor innames boven de 10g (5g voor kinderen); verdeel de inname in 2 dagelijkse doseringen  1 aan het begin en 1 aan het einde van de dag dit draagt bij aan de vermindering van flatulentie. 
* FOS kan tijdelijk een opgeblazen gevoel veroorzaken. Dit is van korte duur. Als de opgeblazenheid meer dan 3 dagen aanhoudt dan de dagelijkse dosering verminderen. 
* Drink tenminste 2 liter vocht per dag.
