Every Can-Am axle incorporates CV joints and bar shafts built with high grade heat-treated commercial steel, with internal components produced to precise high-tolerance standards and surface finishes, all of which combine to reduce stress concentration, mechanical resistance, friction, and heat, while increasing fatigue resistance and overall strength. Both inner and outer CV joints are packed with high-quality, name brand grease specifically designed for extreme high and low temperature applications, and for joints subjected to high mechanical and thermal loads. Keeping the grease in place and protecting both joints are CV boots made from TPE, a puncture and wear resistant polymer offering far greater durability than a rubber counterpart. Holding both boots in place are wide, high-quality Oetiker clamps designed for the perfect seal. These features combine for optimal durability and temperature resistance.
