Jon Fadem, a guitarist hailing from New Jersey, has had an impressive musical journey. From studying at Oberlin College and Conservatory to forming an original funk band who were featured in Dean Budnick's book 'Jam Bands: North America's Hottest Live Bands', Jon has continually created new music while paying homage to the pioneering sounds of artists that have inspired him.

Along the way, Jon has played guitar with George Clinton & Parliament/Funkadelic, Bernie Worrell from Parliament/Funkadelic and Talking Heads, Buddy Miles from Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsys, Larry Graham from Sly & the Family Stone, Napoleon Murphy Brock, Ike Willis, and Ray White from Frank Zappa's band, George Porter, Jr. Of The Meters, and many more of his musical heroes. Jon's extensive experience over the past fifteen years as the lead guitarist and musical director for the acclaimed, nationally-touring Talking Heads tribute band Start Making Sense underscores his versatility and dedication to his craft.

For eleven years, he has been proud to be endorsed by PRS Guitars, Mesa/Boogie amplifiers, and Dean Markley strings. 'Thankful' represents Jon's first foray into solo artistry, offering a dynamic blend of guitar-oriented instrumental music that seamlessly transcends genres such as rock, jazz, pop, funk, and soul.

Drawing inspiration from iconic albums of the 1970s and his musical influences like Jeff Beck, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, Jerry Garcia, Steely Dan, Wayne Shorter, and Frank Zappa, Jon has crafted a captivating and melodic album of thirteen songs that will appeal to a wide audience of music enthusiasts. Notably, Jon showcases his multi-instrumental talents on 'Thankful,' playing guitar, bass, keyboards, mandolin, and dulcimer, joined only by the exceptional John Kimock (Mike Gordon of Phish, Oteil Burbridge of Dead and Company) on drums. The album's production, co-mixed with renowned mix engineer Phil Joly (Common, Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey, The Strokes) and mastered by the esteemed Heba Kadry (Bjork, Sade, Bon Iver, Ryuichi Sakamoto), ensures an inspiring and evocative listening experience that captures the essence of Jon's unique musical vision. It is an album of melodies and grooves that will find a welcome place in the lives of it's listeners.

How To Be Enoch In A Few Easy Steps
Format: Kindle
The title of this book is a tad misleading. Mike certainly does a great job of helping the reader deal with the issue of seeing a lot of dark and negative things when learning to see in the spirit. But that's not all. In this book, Mike includes a lot of other worthwhile steps and exercises to help you see in the spirit in general. In fact, he includes some of this in most of his books, but the repetition necessary. You've got to get the basics down to get it to work. I think people get in the habit of thinking, "If I just read one more book on using the spiritual senses, it'll finally happen for me." But that's not how it works. To see and hear in the spirit and walk in the spirit realm (literally), you have got to do the basic exercises Mike suggests, and you've got to make it a lifestyle. In this book, as with pretty much all of Mike's books, he essentially tells you how to be just like Enoch. Enoch didn't have to be the only person in the antediluvian age to have a living relationship with the Lord. Anybody could've had that, in any age, regardless of their background. But they just weren't interested. It was for Enoch just as much as it was for Cain, Saul, and King Manasseh. The Lord wasn't holding out on anybody. Enoch was just the guy who wanted that relationship. Some people think, "If the Lord wants that, he'll show me himself!" But that's baloney. The Lord himself directly spoke to Cain. To the children of Israel at Sinai. To Judas Iscariot. But they all turned away to their own delusions. It all comes back to the same reality: Jehovah isn’t holding out on anyone. He’s fully present, fully available. It’s just that most people, even when told exactly how to wake up, would rather stay dreaming. Here, Mike provides a toolbox and skillset, with training included, to be like Enoch. But, like Enoch, you've got to choose to follow that path, and not settle. Then, the things that Mike suggests will start working for you. Like all of Mike's mystical teachings on the spiritual life, this one's well worth it. Just stick with it, and don't settle.

I definitely needed this! I have been enduring a long period of spiritual attacks in the natural and physical realms. It has helped me to better understand my calling, even though I have been serving God as a spirit filled and spirit baptized follower of Yeshua.

I liked the book. It challenged my position of focusing on the light and ignoring the darkness. It challenges me to desire the whole experience of spiritual awareness and sight and to become adept in living as a watchman.
